Arrival & Southbound to Yirga Alem
After breakfast, start your journey south. Visit the Debre-Zeith crater lakes, then continue to Yirga Alem. Overnight at a lodge.
Yirga Alem to Yabello
Drive through scenic landscapes, visiting Guji and Borena villages. Afternoon exploration of a Borena village. Overnight at a hotel in Yabello.
El Sod Crater & Borena Singing Wells
Early morning walk to El Sod crater, where Borena men extract salt by hand for their cattle. Visit the singing wells, a fascinating traditional water-passing ritual. Overnight at a lodge in Yabello.
Konso Cultural Exploration
Walk through Konso villages and visit the Konso king (if possible). Explore the Konso market and museum. Overnight at a lodge in Konso.
Konso to Jinka
Drive via Key Afer market to Jinka. Visit the Omo Research Center. Overnight at a hotel in Jinka.
Jinka & Omo-Mursi Villages
Day excursion to Omo-Mursi villages, then return to Jinka. Optional walking tour of surrounding villages. Overnight at a hotel in Jinka.
Ari Village & Dimeka Market
Morning visit to a typical Ari village. Continue to Dimeka market and proceed to Turmi. Overnight at a lodge.
Karo Tribe & Omo River
Visit the Karo people and walk along the Omo River. Return to Turmi for overnight.
Turmi to Arba Minch via Erbore
Visit the Erbore tribe en route. Continue to Arba Minch and overnight at a hotel.
Lake Chamo & Dorze Villages
Morning boat trip on Lake Chamo to see hippos and birdlife. Afternoon visit to Dorze weaving villages. Overnight at a hotel in Arba Minch.
Arba Minch to Awassa
Scenic drive to Awassa. Overnight at a resort.
Awassa to Addis Ababa via Abayta-Shalla NP
Visit the fish market in Awassa. Stop at Abayta-Shalla National Park to see flamingos. Arrive in Addis Ababa, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy specialty coffee at a local roastery. Late evening airport transfer for departure
